Learning to properly communicate with your dog through balanced training and applying that to every day situations. Teaching not only the dog but the owner as well to lead you both up for success. Relationships are built on foundation, communication, and consistency. The same goes for you and your dog.

Our Services

  • Get a jump start on training by allowing your dog stay in a trainers home! This allows your dog to be trained multiple times a day with a consistent and structured training schedule in a home with every day life situations. That benefit makes the transition smoother from the trainers home to yours. Owners will be updated with their dogs training progress regularly so they can prepare to maintain and continue it when their dog comes home.

    One Week Board & Train $1500

    Basic obedience, loose leash walking, and door boundaries.

    Two Week Board & Train $2500

    Advanced obedience, loose leash walking, door boundaries, manners, place with distractions, recall and exposure to different public environments.

    Three Week Board & Train $3400

    All of the above in the two week program along with focusing on reactivity or off leash reliability.

  • Looking to get some solid training in for your dog during the week but don’t have the time? Drop them off can pick them up Mon-Fri for day training! We will work towards your training goals with multiple sessions through out the day. Each day train program is tailored to your dog. Giving you updates/videos so you can be successful at continuing the training at home. Drop off and pick up between 7am-6:30pm.

    • One Day Train $160

    • One Week Day Train Mon-Fri $775

    • Two Week Day Train Mon- Fri $1500

    • Three Week Day Train Mon-Fri $2175

  • Boarding is offered to any dog we have trained or worked with. This way we can maintain your dogs training even when they are here on their own mini vacation! With both picture and video updates during their structured stay. Check out our +add on section for more fulfilling options during their stay!

    • $100/night + $50 for extra dog in same household

    • + $25 Holidays: New Year's Eve/Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve/Day

  • Let us come to you! Private lessons are conducted in your home for a hands on training experience between you and your dog. With obedience as the foundation, we will design a lesson plan based on your dogs individual needs and go from there! Meeting weekly with homework assignments between lessons for the handler to work on with their dog. Reaching your goals together through learning how to communicate with your dog with training.

    • One session $150

    • Three sessions $435

    • Five sessions $700

  • Have a busy day but want your dog to get an exposure training session in? Drop them off for an Adventure Day! This way your dog will still get a training outing even without you. We will have a session in a different environment such as a dog friendly store or park to work on your training goals along with some fun while you’re away. Adventure Awaits! Drop off and pick up on the same day anytime from 7am-6:30pm. Check out our add on section to enhance their experience!

    • $140/day + $100 for extra dog in same household

  • Have an event? Working long hours? Worried you aren't able to take your dog out to go potty? Never fear SLM is here! Let them spend the day with us for some fun! This way your dog gets the fulfillment they need for the day while you're away! Drop off and pick up on the same day, anytime between 7am-6:30pm. Check out our add on section to enhance their day.

    • $40/day + $30 for extra dog in same household

  • Upgrade your dogs experience while they are here with one or more of our add-ons. Making their stay for the day or night more fulfilling in every way.

    • Trail Hike Walk: + $80

      • Let your dog escape the city life with a long walk through the woods. Giving them an enriching walk in nature with all the various sights and smells.

    • 1 hr Training Session + $70

      • While your dog is here we will do an active training session to continue to reach their training goals.

    • Adventure Day outing + $140

      • Let’s take the training out of the house and to a dog friendly store or new environment for great exposure training.

    • Bath + $35

      • Scrub-a-dub-dub let us bathe your dog! We will get them smelling like roses for when you pick them up.

  • You CAN sit with us at our “That’s So Fetch" park group classes! Group classes are a great way to continue your training in a safe and controlled environment with other dogs. We meet at a local park once a week for three weeks to work together on our individual goals for our dogs. Starting in June!

    • $200 for full commitment

    • $75 for drop in

Angela Kelley

Ang is here for the dogs and their humans too! After graduating college with a psychology degree she moved to Chicago and never looked back. Growing up Ang has always been a dog lover so when asked on her sixteenth Birthday if she wanted a car or dog she quickly responded DOG (she did not get a dog that day). Fast forward to over a decade later and she not only got her first dog but that dog is the reason Ang pursued dog training and is now living out a dream she didn’t even know was possible.

    Where do I start?

    Ang truly is phenomenal at what she does!
    We met through a mutual training group and the rest is history. I started using her “Day of Fun” service last year and I love it. More importantly my dog, Matrix, absolutely LOVES it! He does not look back when i drop him off for his days of fun and that really puts me at a peace of mind. Ang sends me updates, cute photos, and is even attentive when Matrix has an allergy flare ups. Knowing my dog is in such great hands is amazing. This is coming from someone who works at a dog boarding facility and I use her boarding services over using an employee discount at my workplace. That’s how much i trust and prefer Ang’s care! He receives structure, fun, and rest which I love!
    I will continue to have Ang watch my dogs (future included) throughout my life!

    We can’t say enough positive things about working with Ang at Sit Like Me! She is a true miracle worker and possesses such a deep connection with dogs! Macro is a frenchie which means he has selective hearing and super stubborn but he will do whatever Ang says and she’s taught us so much as well. Not to mention the times Macro gets to have a weekend at SLM, truly the best weekend of his life each time, from the friends he gets to make, to hanging with his bestie Ron, I know when Macro is with Ang he’s in a safe space, learning, growing, and having the time of his life! I would recommend Ang to every person willing to listen and wanting to train their dogs!!

    Ang is amazing. Prior to booking, we exchanged multiple emails and a phone call to discuss everything, and Ang answered all of my questions (i had a lot). We ended up booking 5 private lessons and it was the best decision. Training is really about you (the owner) learning and gaining confidence for your pup, and Ang really helped to teach me and my husband everything step by step. We had a huge goal of getting a solid recall down, and long term off leash adventures. We also wanted to work on our pup’s whining and pushing/bending the rules. Kano(our pup) is now off leashed trained with a pretty solid recall, and listens so well. I was hesitant to introduce the ecollar but it has truly changed our lives, and we couldn’t have done it without Ang. I spoke with multiple trainers, weighing out all of our options and hiring Ang the best decision for us! Could not recommend more! And as you can see, Kano totally fell in love with her Thank you, Ang!!!
