Are all collars created equal?
With so many different collar choices how do you know which one is the best fit for your dog? How can you tell them all apart?
Slip Lead:
A slip lead functions as both a collar and a leash all in one. It has a loop that slips over the dog's head and you are able to tighten it to fit each individual dog’s neck. Designed to apply gentle pressure if the dog pulls and gives you more control of their head without risk of them getting out of the collar.
Martingale Collar:
A martingale dog collar that is created to prevent dogs from slipping out of their collar, with two loops. There is a larger loop that goes around the dog's head with another smaller one where the leash is attached to. So if a dog pulls, the smaller loop will tighten up and causes the larger loop to tighten on your dog’s neck.
Prong Collar:
A prong dog collar or pinch collar is a type of dog collar designed with prongs that apply pressure around a dog's neck when the leash is pulled. This pressure around your dogs neck allows you to communicate to your dog.
E-Collar:
An e-collar or "electronic collar," is a collar that uses a remote control to deliver a vibration, tone, or stimulation to the dog's neck to help with training. The stimulation sensation allows you to match your dog’s energy with various levels in order to have clear communication with them in different moments.
